FAQ

Why is digging the earth prohibited on Nag Panchami?

Monsoon rains force snakes into soil burrows; abstaining from plowing, digging, or tilling the earth prevents harming or killing these creatures in their burrows.

What is the spiritual significance of the serpent in Vedic traditions?

Serpents symbolize eternity (Ananta), the couch of Vishnu, the garland of Shiva, and the dormant Kundalini Shakti waiting to ascend through the energy chakras.
