Sati's ear ornament or eyes fell in the holy city of Kashi. The name Vishalakshi translates to 'The Goddess with Wide, Compassionate Eyes'. Together with Kashi Vishwanath, she protects the spiritual heart of Kashi, conferring liberation (Moksha) upon her devotees.
Approach this peeth with quiet breath and an open heart. Darshan is not only seeing— it is allowing the Mother to see you.
