01
Theological significance
When Lord Vishnu severed Sati's corpse, the Brahmarandhra (top of her head) fell into a high canyon in the Kirthar mountain range. Worshipped across religious boundaries—Hindus revere her as Hinglaj Bhavani, while local Baloch Muslims honor the shrine as 'Nani Mandir' or 'Nani-Ka-Haj'. Ancient legends cite that Lord Rama visited here to perform penance after the Lanka War.
