Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple

Lord Shiva (Somnath - Lord of the Moon / First Jyotirlinga)

Spiritual philosophy

Revered as 'The Shrine Eternal' (*Aadi Jyotirlinga*). It symbolizes the eternal resilience of Sanatana Dharma—rebuilt multiple times across centuries after destruction, proving that divine truth and spirit can never be permanently destroyed by material force.

Architecture & structure

Kailash Mahameru Prasad Style (Chaulukya Architecture)

Rebuilt in 1951 through the vision of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Positioned on the coast of the Arabian Sea such that an uninterrupted straight line runs from the Somnath seashore to Antarctica (indicated by the Baan Stambh / Arrow Pillar). Features intricate stone carvings, a 155-foot main Shikhara, and a golden Kalash.
