01
Theological significance
Goddess Sati's neck ornament fell in the dense Nallamala forests. Srisailam is one of the rarest sacred sites in India where a Shaktipeeth (Bhramaramba) and a Jyotirlinga (Mallikarjuna) coexist within the same walled compound. The Goddess assumed the form of a bee ('Bhramari') to slay the demon Arunasura.
Approach this peeth with quiet breath and an open heart. Darshan is not only seeing— it is allowing the Mother to see you.
