Theological significance
Goddess Sati's elbow or upper lip fell in the holy city of Avanti (modern Ujjain). Legendary King Vikramaditya worshipped Harsiddhi Devi as his personal guardian deity, offering his head eleven times in supreme devotion, which was repeatedly restored by her grace.
Approach this peeth with quiet breath and an open heart. Darshan is not only seeing— it is allowing the Mother to see you.
