How to understand

Pushya is the royal guru and spiritual mother of the zodiac. Governed by Saturn's patient discipline and Brihaspati's divine wisdom, it is like a maternal cow offering sweet milk to all. It nourishes intellect, blesses good deeds, protects virtue, and ensures that spiritual efforts yield permanent fruit.

Derived from 'Push' (to nourish, foster, thrive, enrich). Known as 'The Nourisher' or 'The Blossom'. Revered in classical Vedic astrology as the most benevolent, spiritually potent, and universally auspicious of all 27 Nakshatras.
