Epics (Mahabharata / Ramayana crossover)

Bheema and Hanuman's Meeting

Characters: Bheema, Hanuman

During their days in exile, strong and boastful Pandava prince Bheema was walking through a forest trail when an old, frail monkey lay right across his path, lazily blocking the way. Annoyed, Bheema shouted, 'Hey monkey, move your tail out of my way! Do you know how strong I am?' The old monkey opened one sleepy eye and sighed, 'I am too old and tired to move. Why don't you just pick up my tail and move it yourself?' Grinning proudly, Bheema grabbed the tail with one hand to fling it aside. To his utter shock, the tail didn't budge an inch! He used both hands, strained every muscle in his giant frame, and sweat poured down his face, but the tail remained anchored like an iron pillar. Panting and humbled, Bheema realized this was no ordinary creature. The old monkey smiled, revealed his true divine identity as Lord Hanuman, and gently taught Bheema that physical strength must always be balanced with humility.
