Madurai Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple
Goddess Meenakshi (Parvati manifestation) & Lord Sundareswarar (Shiva manifestation)
Spiritual philosophy
Celebrates the supreme sovereignty of the Divine Feminine (*Shakti*). Uniquely, Goddess Meenakshi is the primary ruler of Madurai, and rituals honor her supreme status first before those of her consort Lord Sundareswarar, exemplifying spiritual equality and cosmic harmony.
