According to legend, Goddess Sati's left anklet (Nupur) fell into the Karatoya River at Bhabanipur. Worshipped as Maa Aparna—the name Goddess Parvati assumed during her intense penance without consuming even a leaf (Parna)—this site represents pure devotion and ascetic grace.
Approach this peeth with quiet breath and an open heart. Darshan is not only seeing— it is allowing the Mother to see you.
